1. The Hobbit the Battle of the Five Armies held onto the number one spot over the Christmas holidays
2. Despite mixed reviews both Into the Woods and Unbroken both had very solid opening weekends
3. This weekends top 10 out-grossed the Christmas box offcie top 10 by over $12 million and last year's weekend had a wider variety of films.
4. The biggest jump of the weekend goes to The Imitation Game which was put into 713 more theaters
5. The biggest drop of the week goes to Wild (2014) which dropped from the number 6 spot to the number 10 spot, but ii increased its intake by 31.6% by being added to 224 more theaters
