1. Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi was able to hold off Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle by the slimiest of margins
2. This was one of the more busier New Years Day Weekend with 2 films making $66 Million+ whilst being in their third and second weekends respectively.
3. Both Coco and Darkest Hour are continuing strong runs in the top 10 and will probably remain in the top 10 for the next 3 to 4 weeks.
4. The biggest loser of the weekend was Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi as it made 6.6% less than it did last weekend and the biggest winner of the weekend was The Greatest Showman as it made 137.4% more than it did last weekend.
5. I went 4 for 5 on my predictions.

Predictions
1. Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi $31Million
2. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle $19 Million
3. Insidious: The Last Key $18 Million
4. Pitch Perfect 3 $11 Million
5. The Greatest Showman $9 Million
