Where Will The Fast and Furious Franchise Go?

I know that this is a couple of weeks late but I wanted to wait for the appropriate time to post this blog post.

Recently actor Paul Walker passed away in a tragic car accident that not only took his life but of another man by the name of Roger Rodas who was a dear friend to Paul Walker. I send my deepest condolences to both of these men's families. With that being said in the back of the mind of several people, what will happen to the Fast and Furious Franchise go. As we all know Paul Walker played Brian O'Conner in 5 of the 6 films and was in the middle of shooting the 7th installment of the franchise set to be released on July 11, 2014.

With the news of Paul Walker spreading quickly, Universal Pictures quickly acted and halted production on Fast and Furious 7 (which was the right thing to do). After hearing this news me and several others have suggested opinions on how the studio should proceed with Fast 7. Today I'm going to give you the three options that the studio has and the likelihood of each one happening based on a scale of 1 to 10. So without further ado...

        1. Scrap the Film completely
If Universal really wanted to scrap the project completely in honor of Paul Walker and end the franchise on somewhat of a good note with the success of Fast 6.
         Likelihood: 0 out of 10
There is no way Universal will scrap the project simply because the past 2 films have made an enormous amount of money and no studio ever stops franchises as long as they keep making the green. I also believe that you would embarrass Paul Walker's legacy by not continuing on with the film.

        2. Recast the character
As I have heard from my idol John Campea "the character is always bigger than the actor". What that means is that the studio could in fact find another actor to replace Paul Walker as Brian O'Connor and continue the story as if nothing happend.
        Likelihood: 5 out of 10
In my personal opinion the studio might do this simply because its the easy way out and it solves every problem you have by getting another actor to reshoot all of Paul Walker's scenes and continue production of the film and the franchise.

        3. Keep the scenes that Paul Walker has shot and write off the character and likelihood: 9 out 10
I would actually like this idea and it makes the most sense. I have heard that Universal has said that Paul Walker's scenes will remain in the movie. I predict that the crew will be out on a mission and after completing it Brian and Mia (played by Jordanna Brewster) will leave the profession and settle down with their newborn baby and live a quite and happy life.

So ladies and gentlemen what are your thoughts on these opinions, which one makes sense to you and what other options do you think Universal Studios has? Let me know in the comments and let your voice be heard.
