So i recently watched The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

Having survived the first part of their unexpected journey (no pun intended), Bilbo Baggins (played by Martin Freeman), Gandalf the Gray (played by Sir Ian McKellen) and the 13 dwarves Erebor led by Thorin Oakenshield (played by Richard Armitage) continue east towards the Lonely mountain. More dangers await them, including the skin-changer Beorn and the giant spiders of Mirkwood. After escaping capture by the dangerous Wood Elves, Bilbo and the dwarves journey to Lake-town and finally, to the Lonely Mountain, where they face the greatest danger of all: the fearsome dragon Smaug (played by Benedict Cumberbatch).

This film is just absolutely amazing. The film is far superior to the first installment in every which way form the visual effects to the acting to the action and pacing. Yes this film was so perfectly paced that I did not feel that I was in the thater for nearly 3 hours (it actually felt like 2 hours). The performance of Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug was just awesome. The action was just exciting especially the scene with the group escaping in the barrels. The main problem I had with the film was the storytelling. Now the story was fine, it was just the matter of how they told by using so many jump-cuts and switched between scenes that should of had a little bit more development. But overall I loved the film and had a great time so I'm going to give it a 9.5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments and let your voice be heard.
