My Review of Seventh Son

So I recently watched Seventh Son and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

In a time long past, an evil is about to be unleashed that will reignite the war between the forces of the supernatural and humankind once more. Master Gregory (played by Jeff Bridges) is a knight who had imprisoned the malevolently powerful witch, Mother Malkin (played by Julianne Moore), centuries ago. But now she has escaped and is seeking vengeance. Summoning her followers of every incarnation, Mother Malkin is preparing to unleash her terrible wrath on an unsuspecting world. Only one thing stands in her way: Master Gregory. In a deadly reunion, Gregory comes face to face with the evil he always feared would someday return. He has only until the next full moon to do what usually takes years: train his new apprentice, Tom Ward (played by Ben Barnes) to fight a dark magic unlike any other. Man's only hope lies in the seventh son of a seventh son.

This movie is flat out terrible. You have two of the greatest actors of all-time in Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges and you would think that they would at least give a halfway decent performance in a film like this and they completely mail it in. The story itself seems really interesting but as soon as things star getting explained you immediately want to fall asleep because it is so boring. The only redeeming quality about the film is the visuals and those even look really tacky and they are overused throughout the entire the film. Overall this film had a lot of potential with the cast and the story but it was just poorly executed and it was a major letdown. I give Seventh Son a 0.5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Seventh Son, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let  me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
