Lone Survivor, tells the story of four Navy SEALs Marcus Luttrell, Micheal Murphy, Danny Dietz and Matthew Axelson (played by Mark Wahlburg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster respectively) on an ill-fated covert mission to neutralize a high-level Taliban operative who are ambushed by enemy forces in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
This move is absolutely incredible. Now while its not on the level of Saving Private Ryan, its still an awesome war movie. All of the actors give magnificent performances and Peter Burg's direction and mix of wonderful storytelling and action is wonderful. Now saying some people are saying there are some inaccuracies, but so dies almost every based on a true story movie. This movie is filled with so much emotion that it brought me to tears multiple times. Now a little tidbit this film was released in LA and New York on Christmas Day in 2013 making it eligible for the upcoming 86th Annual Academy Awards and I highly believe that this film could be (and deserves to be) nominated for Best Picture. now the one thing disappointing thing about the film is that the title of the movie pretty much gives away the ending but that's neither here nor there. Overall I give Lone Survivor a 10 out of 10.
