Here are my 5 observations

1. Gravity continues its tear and brought in $43.1 million only dropping 20% compared to other movies that generally drop 50-60%
2. Machete Kills brought in only $3.8 million. Now don't get me wrong the studio wasn't expecting to bring in $20 million but the films predecessor brought in $11 million. Machete kills also only had a $20 million budget and it looks as though Machete Kills will be a failure and will not receive a sequel
3. Captain Phillips brought in $25.7 million (which is half of its budget) kinda disappointed in sense. Most people were expecting the Box Office to have Captain Phillips at #1 and Gravity at #2.
4. Runner Runner continues to disappoint by only bringing in $3.7 million in it second week
5. Insidious Chapter 2 which is film that has been in theaters the longest on the list made a little bit more money adding to its already impressive total so far.

So ladies and gentlemen what do you think of the Box Office and what surprised you? Let me know in the comments and let your voice be heard.
