Here are the weekend domestic box office results for the weekend of 5-16-14 to 5-18-14 as well as my 5 key takeaways. So without further ado...
1. Godzilla dominated the box offcie and took the number 1 spot from Neighbors.
2. While being dethroned, Neighbors still brought in a good chunk of change for a film in it's second week.
3. The other film that opened this week (Million Dollar Arm) also had a pretty solid opening weekend
4. Legend of Oz: Dorothy's Return is a commercial flop as it has only brought in a little over $6 million on a $70 million budget.
5. Overall this weekend's box office was more top heavy, but still a solid week.
