My Review of Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising

So I recently watched Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and I"m here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

Life is good for Mac Radner (played by Seth Rogen) and pregnant wife Kelly (played by Rose Byrne) until the unruly sisters of Kappa Nu move in next door. As the loud parties threaten the sale of their home, the couple turn to ex-neighbor and one-time enemy Teddy Sanders (played by Zac Efron) for help. Now united with the former college student, the trio devises schemes to get the wild sorority off the block. Unfortunately, the rebellious young women refuse to go down without a fight.

This was a tremendously funny film. The first film was just an absolute revelation and it turned out to be the best comedy of 2014. While this film is absolutely hilarious, it's just not as a good as the first one. It has a pretty generic story and it basically follows along with the first film, but their are some really unique moments that separate it from the first. All of the performances are great and each character gets their own moment to shine. A lot of the jokes are reruns of jokes used in the first film, but as mentioned before they are tweaked a little to make them different. One things that was very unnecessary throughout the entire film is the fact that it hammers home the idea of sexism in our country and how feminists deal with it. Now that's fine that you did that, but this probably wasn't the film to really try to spread a message that important in. Overall this is a fun film and if you loved the first one, then you'll enjoy this film almost as much. I give Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising an 8 out of 10.
