With production now underway, Zack Snyder's Man of Steel followup, so far referred to as Batman vs. Superman, has an official title. Get ready for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on May 6, 2016. Check out official logo artwork below.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

This title is awesome. Now I would have preferred Man of Steel: Batman vs. Superman or Man of Steel: World's Finest. But no matter this title is still great. Now the title of course preludes to the upcoming Justice League film which most of us thought that this film would do that. Overall while I love the title I still would have preferred something else.
The Hollywood Reporter brings word this morning that the feature adaptation of the Stephen King's IT has shifted from Warner Bros. to their New Line division, which the outlet reports will now take the lead on all things horror for the studio. True Detective's Cary Fukunaga was hired to helm the adaptation back in 2012, and it still seems that is the case. The studio is eyeing to release the film in two feature length parts, the first one focusing on the characters as children and the second featuring them as adults.
Previously adapted as a television miniseries in 1990, King's official site describes IT as follows: A promise made twenty-eight years ago calls seven adults to reunite in Derry, Maine, where as teenagers they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city's children. Unsure that their Losers Club had vanquished the creature all those years ago, the seven had vowed to return to Derry if IT should ever reappear. Now, children are being murdered again and their repressed memories of that summer return as they prepare to do battle with the monster lurking in Derry’s sewers once more.
I really hope this happens. Look I'm scared to death of Pennywise the Clown but it's one of my favorite horror films of all-time. Now that the film has shifted to New Line the film will probably get done faster being that Warner Bros. has a lot on their plate right now and moving it down will help. Overall I'm excited to hear this and I hope the film happens.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow have debuted a new international trailer for the Wachowskis' Jupiter Ascending, starring Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton, Doona Bae, James D'Arcy and Tim Pigott-Smith. Check it out below!
In the July 18 release, Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
This was a great trailer. Now does it change my mind about the film not one bit. Look the Wachowski siblings haven't had a great run since The Matrix and this film looks to continue their downward trend. I'm not really looking forward to the film but I'll still give it a shot... I guess.

The big news of the day is that Godzilla helmer Gareth Edwards will be directing a mystery Star Wars film for release on December 16, 2016. What does that mean, though, for another big screen adventure with the King of Monsters? ComingSoon.net's ShockTillYouDrop.com has an update straight from Legendary Pictures CEO Thomas Tull.
“Gareth's filmmaking talent makes him one of his generation's most creative and visionary directors,” says Tull. “The plan has always been for Gareth to direct a different film before we started on another 'Godzilla,' but who knew it would be a 'Star Wars' installment? We have a great plan in store for 'Godzilla' fans and I am looking forward to seeing Gareth’s imprint on the 'Star Wars' universe.”
The Hollywood Reporter goes on to say that Edwards is attached not only to a Godzilla sequel, but for a full Godzilla trilogy.
This is great news. Edwards did an amazing job with Godzilla and to hear that he is on board for 2 more films gets me excited. I'm really looking forward to the next two installments by this magnificent up and coming director.
Speaking of Gareth Edwards, the Godzilla director is attached to direct one of the upcoming Star Wars spinoff films, which will feature a screenplay by Gary Whitta and is now set to hit theaters December 16, 2016! The official announcement reads as follows: In addition to the episodes of a new "Star Wars" trilogy, Lucasfilm and Disney have begun development on multiple stand-alone movies that will offer new stories beyond the core Saga. Gareth Edwards will direct the first stand-alone film, with a screenplay by Gary Whitta. The film is due out December 16, 2016.
Gareth Edwards blazed into the filmmaking forefront with his acclaimed work on "Monsters," a film he wrote, directed and served on as cinematographer and visual effects artist. The skill and vision readily apparent in "Monsters" earned him the high-profile spot directing this year's smash hit "Godzilla". "Ever since I saw Star Wars I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life - join the Rebel Alliance! I could not be more excited & honored to go on this mission with Lucasfilm, said Edwards.
Star Wars: Episode VII, meanwhile, is set to star John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow in addition to original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. It will open in wide release on December 18, 2015.
Wow this is spectacular news. This guy with one swift move has established himself in the business as a nig time Hollywood director. It'll be intresting what spinoff film he'll do. Me personally i think he'll do the the widely rumored Boba Fett film.
