My Review of Fury

So I recently watched Fury and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...............

Staring into the distance, a disheveled soldier stands in front of a tank, with "Fury" written on the barrel and other soldiers leaning/sitting on it.

April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (played by Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

This film was pretty amazing. The film takes a look at the true horrors of WWII and it has some of the most brutal scenes I've ever seen in a war film since Saving Private Ryan. Now I'm not saying it's not on the same level as a film, but the brutal scenes surpass Saving Private Ryan. Some of the best performances of the year are in this film. Brad Pitt and Logan Lerman steal the show, but Jon Bernthal, Shia LeBeouf and Michael Pena also give some pretty darn good performances. The film is also beautifully shot and it will likely get an Oscar nomination for Cinematography. What it lacks is a good pace and it moves so slowly that I got a little bored with it at times. What also doesn't go with a bad pace is the length of the film and eventhough the film is only 135 minutes long, but it feels like it takes at least 3 hours. The film is also very predictable from the very first scene. Overall if you are a fan of WWII films then this is a film for you. I give Fury an 8.5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Fury, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
