1. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens crushed the weekend box office by making $238 million domestically and $517 million worldwide. The film broke numerous records and it is well on its way to reaching $1 billion next weekend.
2. For the first time in its run, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 fell out of the number 1 spot.
3. In the Heart of the Sea can be considered a box office bomb as it plummeted from number 2 to number 8.
4. The biggest loser of the weekend was In the Heart of the Sea as it made 68.5% less than it did last weekend and there was no big winner of the weekend.
5. I went 4 for 5 on my predictions.

Predictions
1. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens $180 Million
2. Daddy's Home $15 Million
3. Joy $12 Million
4. Point Break $10 Million
5. Concussion $8 Million

So ladies and gentlemen what do you think of this weekend's box office totals and what are some of your takeaways? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
