1. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 continues to hold onto the number one spot, but the reign will soon be over when Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens gets released this weekend.
2. In the Heart of the Sea had a really disappointing opening weekend despite being in over 3,000 theaters.
3. Overall this was a pretty slow, yet productive weekend at the box office.
4. The biggest loser of the weekend was Krampus as it made 48,3% less than it did last weekend and there was no big winner of the weekend.
5. I went 0 for 5 on my predictions.
Predictions
1. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens $215 Million
2. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip $12 Million
3. Sisters $9 Million
4. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 $5 Million
5. In the Heart of the Sea $4 Million
So ladies and gentlemen what do you think of this weekend's box office totals and what are some of your takeaways? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
