My Review of The Judge

So I recently watched The Judge and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado......

The Judge 2014 film poster.jpg

Henry "Hank" Palmer (played by Robert Downey Jr.), a successful Chicago lawyer, returns to his hometown of Carlinville, Indiana, for his mother's funeral only to discover that his estranged father, Judge Joseph Palmer (played by Robert Duvall), is suspected of murdering a man he sent to prison who was later paroled. Hank has to now defend his father in court against Dwight Dickham (played by Billy Bob Thornton), a prosecutor determined to see Joseph put away.

This film is really disappointing. When you look at both the premise and the cast you automatically think that it is going to have really powerful performances and some really emotional scenes, but you end up getting a film that runs 30 minutes to long and repetitive scenes. It also takes a lot from previous courtroom dramas. This film is also the first for Robert Downey Jr.'s production company (Team Downey) so I can understand the film being a little bit of a disappointment in that sense. But the film is worth watching to see RDJ and Duvall to go head to head with each other, Overall the film is too long and too boring. I give The Judge a 4,5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of The Judge, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
