My Review of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

So I recently watched Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

11-year-old Alexander (played by Ed Oxenbould) experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life-a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he's not alone when his mom (played by Jennifer Garner), dad (played by Steve Carell), brother (played by Dylan Minnette) and sister (played by Kerris Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn't had one.

This film was a really pleasant surprise. The film has a lot of great jokes that can be gut-busting, but there are some jokes that are over the top and try to hard to be funny. I really liked the cast and how they jelled togehter, but I did think that Steve Carell got a little annoying at times. I was kinda shocked at how short the film (it's only 88 minutes long) because the movie felt longer so the pacing of the film was really off. The film also has probably the worst title for a film ever (yes that was the book title). It does however have a lot of heartwarming moments (which you expect for Disney). Overall it's a great family movie, but I woudl rather you save it for Redbox. I give Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day a 6 out of 10.
