My Review of Birdman

So I recently watched Birdman and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado.........

Washed up actor Riggan Thomson (played by Michael Keaton) is famous for portraying an iconic superhero. He struggles to mount a Broadway play to revitalize his career. In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career, and himself.

This film is simply amazing. The performances alone are spectacular and the film is mainly carried by Michael Keaton and Edward Norton. Both play characters that are very similar to themselves in real life (Michael Keaton is mainly know for playing Batman and Edward Norton has been known to be difficult to work with), but the film is more of an autobiography of Michael Keaton's career Also both men are in serious contention to get nominated for Oscars (more Keaton than Norton). The camerawork in the film is possibly the best of the year as the film is basically full of one-track shots (continuous shots) and it makes the film more realistic and this is thanks to Emmanuel Lebezki (who just won an Oscar for cinematography for Gravity). But all of this is attributed to the directing of Alejandro González Iñárritu who does an amazing job leading this film into a new territory and he looks to be the frontrunner for an Oscar. Overall this is one of the better films of the year and I look for it to be in contention for a lot of Oscars. I give Birdman a 10 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Birdman, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
