So I recently watched Winter's Tale and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...........
One night in early 20th-century New York, master thief Peter Lake (played by Colin Farrell) breaks into a Central Park mansion and quickly has his heart stolen by its occupant, Beverly Penn (played by Jessica Brown Findlay). Unfortunately, their love is star-crossed; she is dying from consumption, and he is marked for death by his demonic former mentor, Pearly Soames (played by Russell Crowe). Peter battles the forces of time and darkness to save Beverly, even as Pearly does everything in his power to defeat Peter.
This film was a major disappointment. When you see a cast that includes Colin Farrell, Jennifer Connolly, William Hurt and Russel Crowe you expect the movie to be good, and instead we get a pile of crap. The trailer convinced me that this film was a way to early Oscar contender for next year, and now it looks more like an early Razzie contender. The movie was tolerable and it was really good for the first 1 1/2 acts an then the film goes down hill and gets ridiculously boring and stupid. Overall I give the film a 1.5 out of 10.
So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Winter's Tale, what would you score it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section and let your voice be heard.
