My Review of Leprechaun (1993)

With today being St. Patrick's Day, I thought it would be fitting to review a movie that deals the essential creature of the holiday and it is one film that is so terrible that it is hilarious and it has a cult following... Leprechaun (1993). So without further ado...

An evil, sadistic Leprechaun (played by Warwick David) goes on a killing rampage in search of his beloved pot of gold.

This movie is absolutely terrible. It has no plot whatsoever, the characters are stupid and have no common sense throughout the entire movie. Also it has a lot of continuity issues with the story and film has no motivation for any of the characters and what their role is in the film. It has every horror cliche you can think of and the majority of the acting is dreadful. I will say however that there were some really creepy moments along with some scary ones. It also has a great sense of humor about itself and it knows it is a terrible movie. Warwick Davis is the standout as he gives an amazing performance as he always does, but the film is just miserable. I will say however that it is a film (along with The Room) that they are so terrible that I can sit down watch once every 5 or 6 years. Overall this film has very few bright spots, but unfortunately the film has no luck. I give Leprechaun (1993) a 2 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what do you think of Leprechaun (1993), what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
