So I recently watched Whiskey Tango Foxtrot and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

In 2002, cable news producer Kim Barker (played by Tina Fey) decides to shake up her routine by taking a daring new assignment in Kabul, Afghanistan. Dislodged from her comfortable American lifestyle, Barker finds herself in the middle of an out-of-control war zone. Luckily, she meets Tanya Vanderpoel (played by Margot Robbie), a fellow journalist who takes the shellshocked reporter under her wing. Amid the militants, warlords and nighttime partying, Barker discovers the key to becoming a successful correspondent.

This was a pretty fun film. Tina Fey and Margot Robbie are two great actresses and you would never imagine them in a film together and them having good chemistry. In this film these two are just absolutely great together. Every single time they are on screen together you can just go ahead and chalk up a great laugh becasue the film is full of hilarious jokes. They both give really great performances and bring a sense of true emotion to a pretty serious topic. There is quite a bit of violence in the film which you wouldn't expect from a film with Tina Fey and there are some moments where the violence is a bit too much, but you can understand it due the story the film is telling. The film does go all over the place and it doesn't really stick to any points that it provides in the film. While the film goes over the place it doesn't really dive into the media coverage that was going on in Afghanistan at the time and that just seemed odd as it felt like a Pearl Harbor situation where the main tragedy was pushed to the side to really focus on one specific character and not give much thought to everything else. Overall this was a film that focused on the comedy more than the real issue at hand, but the performances of Tina Fey and Margot Robbie are fantastic and it wouldn't be shocking to see them in future films together, I give Whiskey Tango Foxtrot a 5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
