My Review of 10 Cloverfield Lane

So I recently watched 10 Cloverfield Lane and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

After surviving a car accident, Michelle (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead) wakes up to find herself in an underground bunker with two men. Howard (played by John Goodman) tells her that a massive chemical attack has rendered the air unbreathable, and their only hope of survival is to remain inside. Despite the comforts of home, Howard's controlling and menacing nature makes Michelle want to escape. After taking matters into her own hands, the young woman finally discovers the truth about the outside world.

This was a really great film. The other film in the franchise, Cloverfield felt like an average horror film with some pretty terrible cinematography and this film completely deviates from the shaky cam style and it helps the film tremendously. You're able to see the film a lot clearer and get a better understanding of what is going on in the film. The acting in the film is absolutely tremendous with the standout being Mary Elizabeth Winstead who showed that she has a lot of great potential to be a fantastic actress. John Goodman also gives the best performance of his career and it's one of the more haunting performances he's ever done. Speaking of haunting, this film is very haunting and it moves at a slow and methodical pace that just creeps you out on so many different levels. The story itself really isn't that great, but it is better than what Cloverfield was. The ending is also pretty weak and the last little bit felt rushed which took away from what it had built up. Overall it's hard to describe without giving much away, but if you liked Cloverfield, then you'll really love 10 Cloverfield Lane. I give 10 Cloverfield Lane an 8 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of 10 Cloverfield Lane, what would you rate it what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
