My Review of I, Tonya

So I recently watched I, Tonya and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado..........

Tonya Harding (played by Margot Robbie) rises through the ranks of competitive figure skating only to find disgrace when her husband (played by Sebastian Stan) tries to eliminate her rival Nancy Kerrigan (played by Caitlin Carver).

This is a truly fascinating film and one of the best looks at one of the most infamous events in any athletic competition. Tonya Harding is a neat figure to look at because at one point in time she was on top of the world and the film does a great job of showing her rise and then showing how far she feel down the mountain top. Margot Robbie is just absolutely fantastic in the film and she really just takes the performance to a whole new level and it is easily the best performance of her career and she's likely to be nominated at The Oscars next year. Also Allison Janney is in the film as Tonya Harding's mother and she is also fabulous in the film and gives a great performance as well that could get her nominated as well. What makes the film so great is that it could've gone down the dramatic route and really take things seriously and they do have serious moments, but it takes a more comedic route just to show how ridiculous this whole situation really was and honestly how stupid of an idea it was and it just shows what the will to win at cost method can get you. The film moves at a fast pace and it really does gloss over a lot of things and it just feels like they wanted to make a film based on the big event, but they didn't have enough in that one day to do it and they just added moments from Harding's life to help give you a feature length film. Overall this is a great look inside the crazy life of Tonya Harding with some of the best performances of the year, but it does add in material without any explanation leading up to ultimate climax of the film. I give I, Tonya an 8.5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of I, Tonya, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
