My Review of The Boxtrolls

So I recently watched The Boxtrolls and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

The Boxtrolls, a community of quirky, mischievous creatures who have lovingly raised an orphaned human boy named Eggs (voiced by Isaac Hempstead-Wright) in the amazing cavernous home they've built beneath the streets of Cheesebridge. When the town's villain, Archibald Snatcher (voiced by Ben Kingsley), comes up with a plot to get rid of the Boxtrolls, Eggs decides to venture above ground, "into the light," where he meets and teams up with fabulously feisty Winnifred (voiced by Elle Fanning). Together, they devise a daring plan to save Eggs' family.

This film is really entertaining. It has a lot quirky and fun humor that is aapropriate for both kids and adults. I really enjoyed the voice cast as well and having actors like Ben Kingsley, Ell e Fanning Simon Pegg and Nick Frost does hurt at all. I'm also a huge fan of stop-motion animation simply becuase of how much work is put into a film like that and the hard shows in this film. While the visuals in the film are really great (and are especially good for stop-motion animation) some of them do look a little tacky. The same could be said for the humor where there a lot of hit-and-miss jokes. Overall the film is entertaining for both kids and adults but a few misfires in the humor really hurt the film. I give The Boxtrolls a 8 out of 10.

So Ladies and gentlemen what did you think of The Boxtrolls, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
