My Review of Need for Speed

So I recently watched Need for Speed and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado......

Need For Speed poster.jpg

Tobey Marshall (played by Aaron Paul), a blue-collar mechanic who races muscle cars on the side in an unsanctioned street-racing circuit. Struggling to keep his family-owned garage afloat, he reluctantly partners with the wealthy and arrogant ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (played by Dominic Cooper). But just as a major sale to car broker Julia Maddon (played by Imogen Poots) looks like it will save Tobey's shop, a disastrous race allows Dino to frame Tobey for a crime he didn't commit, and sending Tobey to prison while Dino expands his business out West.

I was a little surprised by the film. Going in to it you know that it might have some really bad qualities just like every other video game movie, and it pretty much is. The film is way to over the top, some of the dialogue is just really stupid and the humor that was attempted was a complete disaster. It's pretty much a failed attempt to ripoff the Fast & Furious franchise. On the lighter side of things Aaron Paul does a really great job in the film and I'm really excited to see where his career goes after the success of Breaking Bad. The action in the film was unbelievable and awesome. The great thing about all of the car scenes have no cgi, so everything you see is real. Even though the action is great, the overall film was just horrible so I'm going to give Need for Speed a 4.5 out of 10. I would probably recommend renting it on Blu-ray.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Need for Speed, what would you score it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
