So I recently watched Divergent and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado................
Divergent is set in a world where people are divided into distinct factions based on human virtues. Tris Prior (played by Shailene Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy by a faction leader (played by Kate Winslet) to destroy all Divergents, Tris must learn to trust in the mysterious Four (played by Theo James) and together they must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it's too late.
This film is a complete mess. The plot of the film is just really stupid and it really tries to be a ripoff to the The Hunger Games, Twilight and Harry Potter all in the same move. Out of its 139 minute run-time (2 hours and 19 Minutes), you start enjoy the film at the 1 hour and 45 minute mark and the rest of the film is just really boring. I will say that Shailene Woodley gives a really solid performance as well as Kate Winslett. There are some really emotional moments as well as some pretty good action scenes but overall the film is really boring a lot of stuff doesn't make any sense. Overall I give Divergent a 2.5 out of 10 and I would probably watch the it on TV especially if nothing else is on.
