Also starring Judy Greer (“Archer,” Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Bobby Cannavale (Chef, Blue Jasmine), Michael Pena (End of Watch, Fury), Martin Donovan (Inherent Vice, Insomnia), Wood Harris (Dredd, Remember the Titans), John Slattery (“Mad Men,” Iron Man 2), Gregg Turkington (“Gravity Falls,” The Comedy), Abby Ryder Fortson (“Togetherness,” “The Whispers”), David Dastmalchian (The Dark Knight, Prisoners) and T.I. (Takers, “House of Lies”), Ant-Man features a script by Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari and Adam McKay. Look for it to hit theaters July 17, 2015.
This was an awesome trailer. When the first trailer was released I liked it, but it didn't get me as excited as I was hoping I would be. This trailer however got me really excited for the movie. It had some great humor and it really opened up to what the story would be about. People have been doubting this movie and I think a lot of people are getting ready yo be proved wrong.
Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions have released the new trailer for Terminator Genisys and you can check it out below. In the film, when John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future… “The story has changed,” star Arnold Schwarzenegger said previously of the franchise entry, “so I am like a combination of the characters who you have seen in the past. He is a powerful and potentially evil kind of machine that can be very destructive if I see that there is danger from me or for the victory against the machines. I can switch over to being the protector of Sarah Connor. It depends where we are in this storyline.” Also starring J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Matthew Smith, Courtney B. Vance and Byung-Hun Lee, Terminator Genisys is directed by Thor: The Dark World‘s Alan Taylor from a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier. It will hit theaters on July 1, 2015 and is the first in a planned trilogy of films.
This was a stupid trailer. It was full on old one-liners and it gave away the big twist in the movie. I've known about the twist for a while now, but I didn't want to say anything to spoil the movie for others. But since the trailer did it for me then I can finally rant and let me say I am pissed off about the twist. I won't go into detail, but if you know the franchise and like it then you'll probably feel the same way I do about it.
As production gets underway in Vancouver, The Walt Disney Studios announced it will co-produce and co-finance Steven Spielberg’s The BFG. This marks the three-time Academy Award winner’s first time directing a Disney-branded movie. Previously announced cast include three-time Tony Award winner Mark Rylance who will play the titular “Big Friendly Giant” and newcomer Ruby Barnhill as Sophie. They are now joined by Bill Hader, Jemaine Clement, Michael David Adamthwaite, Daniel Bacon, Chris Gibbs, Adam Godley, Jonathan Holmes, Paul Moniz de Sa and Olafur Olaffson, all cast as giants. Buckingham Palace has also found its residents with Penelope Wilton being cast as The Queen and Rebecca Hall as Mary, the Queen’s maid. “In more than 40 years of making movies, I have been on the producing end of a number of films for The Walt Disney Company, but never as a director,” said Steven Spielberg. “It is a special joy to be in the director’s chair as we start ‘The BFG,’ alongside my long-time friends and film collaborators Kathy Kennedy, who introduced me to this project, Frank Marshall and Melissa Mathison. Together with them and Disney, there are many reasons why I am so excited about this joint venture.” “With Steven Spielberg at the helm, ‘The BFG’ will undoubtedly capture the minds of children and adults alike – as Roald Dahl’s original stories and many of Steven’s own films have done for decades,” said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. “The team at Disney has tremendous respect for the filmmakers, and we’re thrilled to join with them to make what will be a spectacular picture.” “This partnership speaks to the spirit of storytelling and the kinds of movies that we make here,” said Michael Wright, CEO of DreamWorks Studios. “Over the years, we have enjoyed a fruitful collaboration, and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with Disney in this expanded capacity on ‘The BFG.’”
“The BFG” is the exciting tale of a young London girl and the mysterious Giant who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country. Based on the beloved novel by Roald Dahl, “The BFG” (Big Friendly Giant) was published in 1982 and has been enchanting readers of all ages ever since. Dahl’s books, which also include “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “James and the Giant Peach,” “Matilda” and “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” are currently available in 58 languages and have sold over 200 million copies worldwide. Steven Spielberg will direct the film adaptation based on a script by Melissa Mathison, who last teamed with Spielberg on E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Sam Mercer will produce while Kathleen Kennedy, John Madden, Michael Siegel and Kristie Macosko Krieger are on board as executive producers. Adam Somner is a co-producer. The Disney/Amblin/Reliance production in association with Walden Media will open in U.S. theaters on July 1, 2016, the year that coincides with the 100thanniversary of Roald Dahl’s birth. The Walt Disney Studios is distributing the film in the U.S. and several international territories while Mister Smith Entertainment will oversee distribution in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Reliance will distribute the film in India.
I think this is a great idea. Disney has all of the money in the world so why not finance a Stephen Spielberg movie. It's a great business decision and it give them good publicity. This film sounds like it is going to be awesome and with Stephen Spielberg directing the film has a lot of Oscar potential.
With the upcoming Magic Mike sequel, Magic Mike XXL, hitting the big screen in less than three months, Warner Bros. Pictures has today released a new poster from the July 1 release and you can check it out below. Returning stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias will be joined by newcomers Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games franchise), Donald Glover (“Community”), Amber Heard (The Rum Diary), Andie MacDowell (Footloose), Jada Pinkett Smith (“Gotham”) and Michael Strahan (“Live with Kelly and Michael”) with Emmy Award winner Gregory Jacobs (Behind the Candelabra), who served as a producer on Magic Mike, directing and producing. Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, Magic Mike XXL finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways. Magic Mike XXL also reunites Magic Mike producers Nick Wechsler, Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin, with a screenplay by Carolin. Soderbergh, who directed the first film, will executive produce.
This is actually a good poster. I mean granted it is targeting the female demographic, but as a movie poster it does it's justice. It's plain, simple and to the point. I actually liked the first film and eventhough Soderbergh isn't directing this one, he'll still have his hand on it and I think this film will be really good.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Beyond the Lights, Jupiter Ascending) is the latest name to join the cast of Walt Disney Pictures’ upcoming live-action take on Beauty and the Beast. Variety has the news, reporting that Mbatha-Raw will play Plumette, the animated film’s feather duster. In the March 17, 2017 release, Emma Watson and Dan Stevens will star as Belle and the Beast/Prince, respectively, and Luke Evans will play the role of Gaston. Emma Thompson has been cast as Mrs. Potts, Kevin Kline as Belle’s father, Maurice and Ian McKellen as Cogsworth. Josh Gad was also previously reported as playing Lefou, though Disney has not confirmed that casting. The beloved tale will be retold for the big screen with a modern live-action lens and the help of transformative CG magic. Eight-time Oscar-winner Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards for the 1991 animated classic, will score the film, which will feature new recordings of the original songs in addition to several new songs written by Menken and Sir Tim Rice. Bill Condon will direct from a script by Stephen Chbosky, and the film will be produced by Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman.
This is great casting. Now granted I haven't liked everything she has been in, but she was actually pretty good in her roles. I think she fits into this part really well and I'm excited to she what she does with it and as I said last night I expect a few more casting announcements coming in the next couple of weeks.
