My Review of Horns

So I recently watched Horns and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado.............

Horns Official Movie Poster.jpg

The film follows Ig Perrish (played by Daniel Radcliffe), the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend, Merrin (played by Juno Temple). Hungover from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his own head and soon realizes their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most selfish and unspeakable impulses - an effective tool in his quest to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend's tragedy and for exacting revenge on her killer.

I really enjoyed the film. Daniel Radcliffe gives the best performance of his career and he has a really bright future ahead of him once he is out of the shadows of Harry Potter. The supporting cast is also really solid which includes Juno Temple, Max Minghella and Joe Anderson and they all really commit to their parts. The story is also very original and it really could reinvent the dark fantasy genre. Also the film is very dark, but it also has a lot of dark humor and some very funny parts. The problem with the film is that it has some sloppy dialogue and that the director Alexandre Aja just did a poor job of directing the film. Overall the film has really strong acting performances and keeps a constant and dark tones, but it poor directing and poor writing ultimately bring the film down. I give Horns a 5.5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Horns, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
