My Review of Pixels

So I recently watched Pixels and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado.............

As kids in the 1980s, Sam Brenner (played by Adam Sandler), Will Cooper (played by Kevin James), Ludlow Lamonsoff (played by Josh Gad), and Eddie "The Fire Blaster" Plant (played by Peter Dinklage) saved the world thousands of times - at 25 cents a game in the video arcades. Now, they're going to have to do it for real. In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens discover video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth, using the video games as the models for their assaults -- and now-U.S. President Cooper must call on his old-school arcade friends to save the world from being destroyed by PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede, and Space Invaders. Joining them is Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (played by Michelle Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens.

This film is absolutely god awful. Look I know I've said many many times before in previous blog posts that I am a fan of Adam Sandler, but I'm not a huge fan of his most recent films and the last comedy that I truly liked was The Longest Yard back in 2005 and this film just adds to list terrible films in Adam Sandler's filmography. The film does have a really interesting concept, but it's not executed well at all. The performances are just unbelievably bad and you wonder why in the world talented actors like Josh Gad and Peter Dinklage would sign onto a film like this. Kevin James continues to annoy me as an actor and he just doesn't do anything for me. Adam Sandler has damaged his career even more and he needs to take a good look in the mirror and ask the question of how can I get my career back on track because this film will probably not make enough to make back it's budget /marketing campaign money and that's a big pill for anyone to swallow. The comedy didn't hit with me at all, but there were a couple of jokes that were decent, but not enough for me to like the film. Overall this is such a stupid, pointless and horrible film. I give Pixels a 0 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Pixels, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
