So I recently watched Yoga Hosers and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...
Two 15-year-old yoga enthusiasts (played by Lily-Rose Depp and Harley Quinn Smith) join forces with a legendary man-hunter (played by Johnny Depp) to battle Canadian Nazis who take the form of deadly sausages.
This might be the weirdest film Kevin Smith has ever made in his entire career. Listen Kevin Smith is a great guy and hardcore fanboy (like me) and while he has made some great films, this just isn't one of them. It has a insanely weird plot that just doesn't make sense and it just goes all over the place. All three of the main characters played by Harley Quinn Smith, Lily-Rose Depp and her father Johnny Depp are playing the same characters that they played in the film Tusk so both are in the same universe which is already insane and they just feel like cardboard cutouts and again Johnny Depp putting on very obnoxious performance dressed up in a stupid outfit with stupid makeup and it just doesn't work in this film and it didn't work in Tusk. The film is basically a more insane version of Clerks and it just feels like the same stuff that Kevin Smith puts in every single film of his and it just gets tiring after a while. The comedy is something that you have to have been exposed to before in a Kevin Smith film and if not then this film is going to be dreadful for you. Overall this is just a lot of poor execution from Smith and the film just seems like a lazy attempt to make his daughter into a film star. I give Yoga Hosers a 1 out of 10.
