So I recently watched The Darkness and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...
A supernatural force terrorizes a couple (played by Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell) and their two children after they return home from a vacation to the Grand Canyon.
This is such an absolutely terrible film. It's sad that a horror film that tries so hard to be scary actually ends being one of the best comedies of the year. Everything the characters do in this film is just stupid and it's so predictable. Kevin Bacon looks blitzed throughout the entire film and he along with the rest of the cast just sleepwalk through the entire film. The film tries to be a more modern version of older horror films and it nothing compared to those films and in fact some of the more ridiculous and obnoxious Z-Level horror films turn out better than this . As mentioned before, the film is predictable and it's just so formulaic and generic that there is nothing to really sink you teeth into. Overall this is just a plain and boring movie that tries way too hard to be the next great horror film and nothing exciting happens and it just comes across as cheesy and childish. I give The Darkness a 0 out of 10.
So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of The Darkness, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
