Weekend Box Office Review 1-16-15 to 1-19-15

        With this past weekend being the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend we have to count the Monday numbers as well. So here are the weekend domestic box office results for the weekend of 1-16-15 to 1-19-15 as well as my 5 key takeaways. So without further ado...

1. American Sniper came out of nowhere and destroyed the box office this weekend by bringing an impressive $110 million for the Martin Luther king Jr. holiday weekend
2. Paddington and The Wedding Ringer both had very solid opening weekends. 
3. The other new wide release Blackhat did not even crack the top 10 
4. Taken 3 was the biggest loser of the weekend by making 55% less than it's opening weekend last week and the biggest winner of the weekend was American Sniper by making 18,421,4% more money than last weekend and yes you read that number right.
5. Overall this was a really solid holiday weekend at the box office
