Hello ladies and gentlemen, here is some movie news with some of my thoughts and opinions (which will be in BOLD print). So without further ado...

Following the success of The LEGO Movie last year, Warner Bros. is betting all their chips on the tiny bricks to turn into a full-fledged franchise for them. Not only is a sequel to The LEGO Movie coming but so is LEGO Ninjago and The LEGO Batman Movie. Directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord, who helmed the first film, are on board for the ride too, acting as producers for the spin-offs and revealed today that though they’re writing the sequel, they won’t direct it. “I don’t think so,” Miller said, when asked by Empire. “We’re writing the sequel right now and obviously producing all the other ones. There’s a challenge to make each one feel like its own thing. Part of the fun is finding people like Charlie [Bean], who’s doing the Ninjago movie, and Chris McKay who did so much on the first film. Each of them have their own distinct voices and ideas for tone. So it will each have its own personality and not just be, ‘Hey, remember that last movie? Here’s another one just like it!’ So that’s been a big challenge but so far it’s been going better than I expected.” “I think it’s nice for all these other films to have their own voice and that’s what’s neat about working with all these other filmmakers,” Lord added. “They come up with solutions you wouldn’t think of. Watching Charlie Bean’s sequences for Ninjago is so gratifying because he’s able to make it play without any dialogue and has a really great visual style. It’s really nice and refreshing. I think it would get boring if we directed them all, quite honestly.”
Further asking about the sequel to last year’s hit, the outlet asked the pair why they’ve decided to write the sequel having originally decided to just produce. “We worried we didn’t have enough time,” Lord says. “Luckily, [Chris] McKay and Jared [Stern] and Michelle [Morgan] all worked on the movie a bit in our absence and really cracked the beginnings of a story and got us really excited; excited enough to write it. We should be writing right now. We’ve opened a Final Draft document and titled it. I mean, that’s really the hardest part. And we’ve chosen the formatting. That is all that’s happened so far. We’ve been outlining a bunch.” Miller went on to detail some interesting bits about the film’s plot, revealing it will take place four years after the first film (which will be released four years after the first). “Well I don’t want to give you spoilers but we were really interested in what happens to that boy who’s in the meta story in the first movie when he’s four years older. When he’s an adolescent how does that change his point of view? And it’s nice to have the characters start in a different place from the first movie. Emmet, for example, was in an existential crisis of having seen another dimension and was questioning the whole point of his existence.” The LEGO calendar is ever growing with LEGO Ninjago set for release on September 23, 2016, The LEGO Batman Movie scheduled for May 26, 2017, The LEGO Movie 2 on May 25, 2018, and another Untitled LEGO Movie on May 24, 2019.
I really love these comments. Like I said before when they first announced a Lego movie I was almost done with movies, but them Lord and Miller were then announced as directors and it gave me a little hope and now we're sitting here a little less than a year after the film's release and it ended up being in my top 10 film of 2014. It really does show a lot when directors/writers/producers are so passionate about a product/franchise and want it to bigger and better each time. I'm really looking forward to what these other films have in store for us.
The Hunger Games and Interstellar star Wes Bentley has, according to a story today at TheWrap, joined the cast of Walt Disney Pictures’ upcoming remake of Pete’s Dragon. Although his role has not yet been revealed, Bentley will join a cast that already includes Academy Award winner Robert Redford (All is Lost, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help, Jurassic World), Oakes Fegley (This is Where I Leave You) and Oona Laurence (“Penny Dreadful”). Ain’t Them Bodies Saints‘ David Lowery is directing the remake. The original film, a hybrid of live action and animation, was released in 1977 and followed the adventures of Pete (Fegley), a young orphan boy with an imaginary friend, Elliot, who just happens to be an enormous animated dragon. The new version will offer the dragon via CGI and will have the Pete character joined by a human friend, Natalie (Laurence).
This is really great casting. Wes Bentley is a very talented actor and I think he can bring a lot to this film which has a great cast already in place. I've never seen Bentley give a bad performance and I don't expect one in this film. As I said before I wasn't to big a fan of the original Pete's Dragon, but I am really looking forward to this remake.
Fans hoping that director Sam Taylor-Johnson’s adaptation of the runaway bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey should be pleased, albeit not necessarily surprised, with today’s update: The E L James adaptation has officially been rated R by the MPAA for, in their own words, “strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language.” Opening in theaters on February 13, 2015, Fifty Shades of Grey stars Jamie Dornan (Marie Antoinette, Shadows in the Sun), Dakota Johnson (Need for Speed, “Ben and Kate”), Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty), Luke Grimes (Taken 2), Victor Rasuk (Godzilla, “Stalker”), Eloise Mumford (In the Blood), Max Martini (Pacific Rim), Rita Ora (Southpaw), Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River, Into the Wild) and Callum Keith Rennie (Memento). A global phenomenon, Fifty Shades of Grey was first published in 2011 and follows the relationship of 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey (Dornan) and college student Anastasia Steele (Johnson). Subsequent novels in the series, “Fifty Shades Darker” (2011) and “Fifty Shades Freed” (2012) explore the couples deepening relationship. The trilogy has been translated in over 50 languages worldwide since its release. To date, the Fifty Shades trilogy has sold over 70 million copies worldwide in e-book and print, making it one of the fastest-selling book series ever.
This is not a shocking rating for the film. I mean the book is very graphic in a lot of different senses from the sex and passion. Honestly I'm not a huge fan of the books and in all honesty this film doesn't need to be made. But since it is happening I guess I just have to live with it. With everything I've heard about the books I'm surprised that it was able to get made and survive with an R rating. The things I do for you people I have to suffer through this stupid film, so wish me luck when it comes to that point.
TheWrap brings word today that comedian T.J. Miller (who provided the voice of Fredzilla in last year’s Big Hero 6) is circling a role in 20th Century Fox’s long-awaited Deadpool movie.Though the outlet isn’t sure about what characters hey’ll be playing, Miller’s role is reportedly another comedic part in the film, Ryan Reynolds will reprise the role he played in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Wade Wilson, the merc with the mouth, though given how that film was received (and the ending to last year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past), it’s possible that film will not be acknowledged at all in the 2016 release. Tim Miller is set to direct the film from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool is currently set for a release on February 12, 2016.
This could be really great casting if this becomes true. TJ Miller is a very funny guy and he was the best part of Transformers: Age of Extinction before they stupidly killed him off (sorry don't care about spoiling the film becuase I just flat out hated it). The role I've been hearing for Miller is the character Weasel who is pretty much Deadpool's tech guy that gets his equipment for him. I think Miller is a perfect choice for the film and hopefully he gets a role in the film.
While our last glimpse of filming gave us an icy chill, new cast images of Spectre–the 24th entry in EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Sony Pictures Entertainment’s James Bond franchise–warm things up with smiles all around. Check out stars Daniel Craig, Léa Seydoux and Dave Bautista by the Austrian alps in the photos below. The shots were taken in Sölden, a major Austrian tourist attraction known for its skiing, especially the prized Rettenbach glacier. According to area’s official site, the Spectre production is expected to film in Sölden through February, utilizing a cable car as well as the glacier road and tunnel. In the movie, a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE. SPECTRE (Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion), as Bond fans know, is a fictional global terrorist organization featured in Ian Fleming’s novels, as well as the films and video games based on those novels. The organization was led by the villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, although the cast is definitely playing it coy about whether or not Blofeld will actually appear in the new film. Directed by the Academy Award-winning Sam Mendes (Skyfall), Spectre stars Daniel Craig, Ben Wishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, David Bautista, Léa Seydoux, Andrew Scott and Rory Kinnear. Written by John Logan and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade, the movie hits theaters on November 6, 2015.

These are really cool photos. It seems to me that these three are having a lot of filming the movie and I'm really curious to see the scenes that they are filming together at this beautiful location. As a lot of you know I'm a fan of the Bond film and Skyfall just took the franchise to a whole other level and I can't wait to see how Spectre builds on it's momentum.
So there you have it ladies and gentlemen, which of these stories peaked your interest or was there another story that interested you? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
