Hello ladies and gentlemen, here is some movie news with some of my thoughts and opinions (which will be in BOLD print). So without further ado...

When Warner Bros. upcoming Batman vs. Superman film was originally announced at the San Diego Comic-Con, some fans felt skeptical that the inclusion of the Dark Knight would overshadow Superman in what was being hailed as a sequel to 2013's Man of Steel. In a new interview with Forbes, director Zack Snyder lays out the reasons why they arrived at Batman for the upcoming sequel, and how he was almost just a cameo in the second Man of Steel movie.
"After Man of Steel finished and we started talking about what would be in the next movie, I started subtly mentioning that it would be cool if he faced Batman. In the first meeting, it was like, “Maybe Batman?” Maybe at the end of the second movie, some Kryptonite gets delivered to Bruce Wayne’s house or something. Like in a cryptic way, that’s the first time we see him. But then, once you say it out loud, right? You’re in a story meeting talking about, like, who should [Superman] fight if he fought this giant alien threat Zod who was basically his equal physically, from his planet, fighting on our turf… You know, who to fight next? The problem is, once you say it out loud, then it’s kind of hard to go back, right? Once you say, “What about Batman?” then you realize, “Okay, that’s a cool idea. What else?” I mean, what do you say after that?"
These comments surprise me a little in the sense that foe even just a little bit that we could not of even had Batman in the film. I agree with Snyder saying that it is the next obvious step in the story of Superman. This is a film that fans have been dying for years for and it has the potential to be great or very bad but I know that for me I'll be first in line to see the film.
Warner Bros. Pictures has released, via iTunes Move Trailers, both the trailer and poster for Jersey Boys, director Clint Eastwood's adaptation of the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons Broadway musical and you can check it out in the video below. The film serves as a biopic of Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi and their hit singing group, telling the meteoric tale of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were thirty. Jersey Boys hits theaters June 20, 2014.
I really enjoyed the trailer. If you don't know the story behind The Four Seasons then you're going to love this movie. I was also surprised when first heard that Clint Eastwood was directing and thinking that he is really stepping out of his comfort zone. Overall i'm really excited for the film and i can't wait to see it.

The Oscars will be held at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
This date doesn't surprise me and nor should it. the Oscars are generally held in February and were only held in March this because of the Winter Olympics. All they need now is a host which probably won't be announced until late September/early October. If i had to choose I would go with Kevin Hart.
Bloomberg got a chance to sit down with Jerry Bruckheimer and asked the producer about three project he has in development - another Beverly Hills Cop sequel, the Top Gun sequel, and the fifth "Pirates" film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Bruckheimer says Brett Ratner would direct Eddie Murphy in the new Beverly Hills Cop. "We're in the process of getting the script finished. Paramount is very excited about making it, Eddie is very excited, Brett Ratner is excited about doing it, so I think we're moving forward. Hopefully we'll start end of summer, beginning of fall and get rolling on it. We're going to take Eddie back to Detroit - he's going to be in Beverly Hills and we take him to Detroit. So we're going to have some fun with him, he's really excited about doing it."
Regarding the long-in-the-works Top Gun sequel, he said: "Well you know, technology has changed obviously since we made the first one. So I think we're going to take advantage of what the world is like today, with the drones kinda taking over a lot of our wars today, but is the pilot obsolete? Those jet jockeys, are they gone now? No, I don't think so, I think they're going to be around for quite a while. Because you still have to make quick decisions and the pilots who want to make quick decisions, so we're going to hopefully highlight both worlds."
While he doesn't have a time table on that film, he does hope to start on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales soon. "We're working on it, it's hopefully moving forward," he says of the fifth installment. "Johnny is excited about it, obviously Disney is, we're excited about it. So hopefully we'll get that going this fall or end of the year if everything lines up properly."
Well I can say that I'm not shocked by these comments. These properties are Jerry Bruckheimer's babies and he's going to do everything in his power to milk these films into the ground. Now while I am interested by the prospects of a Top Gun 2, I'm little skeptical about Beverly Hills Cop 4 and I detest the idea of a 5th Pirates of the Caribbean film. I think setting BHC 4 in Detroit will work out and I honestly don't know how the Pirates franchise could get any worse so we'll just have to wait and see.
It's been more than two decades since Robin Williams proved the box office power of his Mrs. Doubtfire, the 1993 Chris Columbus comedy that pulled in more than $440 million worldwide. Now, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Fox 2000 has a sequel in the works with both Williams and Columbus attached to return as star and director, respectively. David Berenbaum (who wrote Elf) will provide the screenplay.
I ask the question of why is this necessary? I mean don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the first one and I thought that it ended on a perfect note. I think this is a case of Robin Williams having nothing else to do and nothing else working that he's going back to projects that did work. All in all I think this is the stupidest sequel idea ever and I'm very skeptical about it.
So there you have it ladies and gentlemen, which of these stories peaked your interest or was there another story that interested you? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
