My Review of Masterminds

So I recently watched Masterminds and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

Masterminds (2016 film).png

David Ghantt (played by Zach Galifianakis) is stuck in the monotony of driving an armored truck day in and day out, so when his work crush lures him into the heist of a lifetime, David's all in. Despite a pack of harebrained bandits and an absurdly flawed plan, David manages to steal $17 million, and promptly hands it over to the gang -- who just as promptly double-cross him. Forced to go on the lam, David must dodge the authorities and a hit man, and try to turn the tables on his untrustworthy comrades.

This is one of the most unfunny films of the year. In Hollywood a lot of films face some sort of challenge and this one is no different. originally. The film is based off of a true story and you honestly wouldn't know by the films story itself. The film is crazy and the plot is utterly ridiculous which makes seem even crazier that this actually happened. None of the actors really fit into their roles and it's sad when a comedy makes fun of a serious situation and play it off as satire. The film feels like it was made by doing different sketches and to be quite honest with the majority of the cast being former and current cast members of SNL it's not surprising. There are some decent jokes, but the story is flat and when you don't have a good balance of comedy and story then nothing flows well. Overall the film is basically a jumbled mess with sloppy editing, terribly developed characters, unfunny jokes and a story that is just way too ridiculous to believe actually happened. I give Masterminds a 0.5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Masterminds, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
