My Review of Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates

So I recently watched Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

Mike (played by Adam DeVine) and Dave Stangle (played by Zac Efron) are young, adventurous, fun-loving brothers who tend to get out of control at family gatherings. When their sister Jeanie reveals her Hawaiian wedding plans, the rest of the clan insists that they both bring respectable dates. After placing an ad on Craigslist, the siblings decide to pick Tatiana (played by Aubrey Plaza) and Alice (played by Anna Kendrick), two charming and seemingly normal waitresses. Once they arrive on the island, however, Mike and Dave realize that their companions are ready to get wild and party hard.

This is one of the more boring comedies to ever be made. In a comedy you expect to go in and get quite a few laughs and while you don get some good jokes, they are few and far between. Sometimes the jokes just drag on for too long and it looks like a sad attempt to get laughs. All of the actors in the film are great and while the script isn't really something to sink their teeth into, they all do a pretty decent job of at least making their characters refreshing to a point. Going back to the humor, some of the things that happen in this film are just utterly ridiculous and are pretty unrealistic and making the film feel really fake. As mentioned the story isn't all that great and it's pretty predictable and it just makes for a lazy and a incomprehensible screwball comedy that just isn't funny despite having a stellar cast. Overall this is just a flat out ridiculous film that has no story or substance and it tired to be something that it never should've been in the first place. I give Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates a 2 out of 10.
