My Review of Sisters

So I recently watched Sisters and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado............

When their parents place the family home on the market, siblings Maura (played by Amy Poehler) and Kate (played by Tina Fey) learn that they have one weekend to clean out the junk from their old bedroom. Unhappy with the news, the recently divorced Maura and her hotheaded sister make plans to throw one final bash to recapture their glory days with their former classmates. As the raging party begins to spiral out of control, the gals soon realize that there may not be a house left to sell once the dust settles.

This was a really terrible and disappointing film to watch. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are two of the funniest actresses working today and when they are on screen together they are generally funny in every film and in this film they aren't. Every joke that was setup by both of them were forced and cliched and you knew the punchline before the joke was finished. The film itself is cliched and there's just not a lot you can really sink your teeth into. Now some of you will probably say that this review might be unfair due to the hype around Star Wars and that's just not the case. This was a movie that deserved to better than it was especially with everyone involved. The best part of the film was easily Bobby Moynihan and he'll be the next SNL member to make the jump to stardom by the time his run on SNL is done so expect to see him a lot of films down the line. There are a few great cameos and lot of great minor role performances such as the one John Cena has and this is type of genre you expect to see him in. As mentioned before the film is cliched which in turn makes the story cliched and predictable. Overall this is a film you go into expecting to laugh you just don't at all. I give Sisters a 4 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Sisters, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
