My Review of Swiss Army Man

So I recently watched Swiss Army Man and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

Being stranded on a deserted island leaves young Hank (played by Paul Dano) bored, lonely and without hope. As a rope hangs around his neck, Hank prepares to end it all, until he suddenly spots a man (played by Daniel Radcliffe) laying by the shore. Unfortunately, he is dead and quite flatulent. Using the gassy body to his advantage, Hank miraculously makes it back to the mainland. However, he now finds himself lost in the wilderness, and dragging the talking corpse named Manny along for the adventure.

This might be the weirdest film ever made. It really makes you wonder what the studio was thinking when they greenlit a film where Daniel Radcliffe is a farting corpse and has something just like superpowers. In the midst of all the weirdness you get a pleasantly surprising film that tells a fantastic story with some stellar performances. Both Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe have terrific chemistry together and you could tell that they worked well together being in such close proximity of each other throughout the entire film. With both of these performances it wouldn't be shocking to see both of them nominated for Oscars next year. There is some pretty petty humor that seems childish, but it works well for the plot and you keeps you entertained. It also helps that the film is very original in a lot of unique ways and it keeps you guessing on what is going to happen. This film isn't for everyone, but it's a film that you definitely need to see in the midst of all of the summer blockbusters popping up left and right. Overall this a weird film that takes a while to get in to, but once you are in, you just are amazed at what this film was able to do and the performances from the two leads help out a lot. I give Swiss Army Man a 8.5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Swiss Army Man, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
