My Review of Fathers & Daughters

So I recently watched Fathers & Daughters and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

A Pulitzer Prize-winning author (played by Russell Crowe) checks into a mental health facility after the death of his wife, while his daughter (played by Amanda Seyfried) falls for an aspiring novelist (played by Aaron Paul) years later.

This is a really disappointing film. The last time Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried were in a film togehter, they created magic in the film Les Miserables and that film was phenomenal, this film however is a complete disaster from the start. Yes it tells a compelling tale of a father who loves his daughter and vice versa, they both have an event that tragically impacts their lives and sends them down completely differently paths, but they still love each other no matter what. Yes that is the plot of the film and it's been done so many times and it just seems ridiculous to have actors with such great talent in such a crappy film. It has so many different plotlines going on that it gets really hard to keep track of everything going on in the film. It also tries to play on the emotional heartstrings way too much and it just becomes overwhelming at times. While the film is terrible around them, the actors themselves all give good performances that make you a little interested, but it's just not enough for the film to succeed. Overall this is just a unbelievably terrible film that wastes such a talented cast for a uninspiring story. I give Fathers & Daughters a 1 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Fathers & Daughters, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review. So without further ado...
