My Review of The 5th Wave

So I recently watched The 5th Wave and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

The human race stands on the brink of extinction as a series of alien attacks decimate the planet, causing earthquakes, tsunamis and disease. Separated from her family, teenager Cassie Sullivan (played by Chloë Grace Moretz) will do whatever it takes to reunite with her brother Sam (played by Zackary Arthur). Fate leads her to form an alliance with Evan Walker (played by Alex Roe), a young man who may be her last hope. Forced to trust each other, Cassie and Evan fight for survival as the invaders prepare a fifth assault.

This film is a complete and utter disaster. Look this film is just so stupid that you can barely pay attention to the film because you are wondering if the film is really as stupid as it seems. Chloe Grace Moretz is a tremendous actress and she looks so lost in this film and she mails it in 100%. There are so many cliches and predictable moments that it just dumbs you down as a viewer. The film tries to be a hardcore sci-fi action film for teens and it is nothing like that at all. The effects are pretty weak compared to other movies and it just takes you out of the film because it bothers you so much. The sad thing about the film is the fact that there are more comedic moments than there are action moments. The film was made for a specific target audience which are the young adults and this is the final straw with YA books becoming film for a small cash grab and the filmmakers seem to not even care about making quality films. Overall this is a pile of garbage film that should never be seen by human eyes for the rest of eternity simply due to the complete stupidity and lack of effort put in by the filmmakers. I give The 5th Wave a 0 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of The 5th Wave, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
