My Review of The Intern

So I recently watched The Intern and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado......

The Intern Poster.jpg

A retired successful business owner (played by Robert DeNiro) and widower lands an internship at a fashion website run by a young, career-driven woman (played by Anne Hathaway).

This is pretty bad film. Anne Hathaway is easily one of the top actors working in the business today and Robert DeNiro is easily one of the greatest actors of all-time and a movie with both of them being the co-leads sounds like a good idea, but this film isn't that. The film is really generic, predictable and boring. When DeNiro and Hathaway are on screen together the film moves at really smooth pace, but when they aren't and you get to know more about their characters individually, then film tends to drag along and it becomes uninteresting. Now that's not saying that the performances of the supporting cast are bad, but their characters are just dull. As mentioned before, the characters for Anne Hathaway and Robert DeNiro are pretty relatable to certain age groups (Hathaway for 20 to 30 year olds and DeNiro for anyone over 50) and that help a film when you have characters that generally have the same thought process as yourself. Overall this film is not unenjoyable outside of the interaction between Hathaway and DeNiro and it makes for a boring and predictable film. I give The Intern a 3 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of The Intern, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
