So I recently watched The Green Inferno and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...
The Green Inferno follows a group of student activists who travel from New York City to the Amazon to save the rainforest. However, once they arrive in this vast green landscape, they soon discover that they are not alone... and that no good deed goes unpunished.
This was a sick, disturbing and haunting, but fun film. Eli Roth has been on the shelf for the past 8 years and for this to be his comeback film is remarkable and it's only the 5th film that he's ever directed. The film presents a very interesting message and Eli Roth tends to do that in every film he does and if you're not a fan of certain messages being portrayed on screen then you don't need to see this film or any other Eli Roth's film. The acting in the film is pretty atrocious, but you don't go see an Eli Roth film and expect a good story or good acting. The characters are wooden, annoying, and dull and the dialogue feels so forced. The main character of the film is the gore and violence and in the film there are some pretty gruesome, violent and gory scenes. It has a feeling and a lot similarities of Cannibal Holocaust which Eli Roth has stated was inspiration for this film and you can definitely tell that in every single scene. Overall if you're not a fan of brutal gore or Eli Roth himself then you won't like this movie, but if you are then this is the film for you. I give The Green Inferno an 8 out of 10.
So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of The Green Inferno, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
