My Review of Paddington 2

So I recently watched Paddington 2 and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...

Settled in with the Brown family, Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) the bear is a popular member of the community who spreads joy and marmalade wherever he goes. One fine day, he spots a pop-up book in an antique shop -- the perfect present for his beloved aunt (voiced by Imelda Staunton)'s 100th birthday. When a thief steals the prized book, Paddington embarks on an epic quest to unmask the culprit before Aunt Lucy's big celebration.

This is a really fun and entertaining film. The first film was an absolutely charming film that had a lot of really fun moments and it would be hard to top that film, but the this film was able to do so. The film is just a fun ball of energy from the very beginning and it just lasts throughout the entire film. As a sequel you want to take all of the characters you introduced in the first film and continue to build upon them to make them more well-rounded and this film does just that and it really develops Paddington as a character as he grows into his own person and begins to understand the new world he lives in. Along with that, it also has a lot of messages that are geared towards kids in saying that it's ok to have fun, but that the world is a pretty cruel place and not everything is as pleasant as it may seem. The film itself is absolutely gorgeous as it captures the landscape of London so well and even the more festive scenes seem so real that make you feel as if you are there in the film. The acting is marvelous and you truly see that each actor truly cares about the material they are given and it makes a for heartwarming and genuine moments from real people instead of being stiff and naive the entire time. The comedy is great throughout the entire film and there are some hilarious gut-busting moments, but a couple of jokes seem a little forced and feel out of place for this film. Overall this is just a fabulous film that much like the first one sets the bar high for the rest of the films to come to be this good. I give Paddington 2 a 9.5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Paddington, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review. Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
