My Review of Minions

So I recently watched Minions and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado..........

Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. Continuously unsuccessful at keeping these masters-from T. rex to Napoleon-the Minions find themselves without someone to serve and fall into a deep depression. But one Minion named Kevin has a plan, and he-alongside teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob-ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow. The trio embarks upon a thrilling journey that ultimately leads them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock), the world's first-ever female super-villain. They travel from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in mod London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of Minionkind...from annihilation.

This was a really disappointing film. I'm a fan of the Minions and there were the funniest parts of both Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 and the idea of them having a solo film was no-brainer idea. That idea however was a failed attempt to make a movie for money. I think the Minions are better served as side characters in another film instead of carrying their own film. One of the main problems is the dialogue and when they aren't enough characters speaking regular dialogue all you get is Minion gibberish and it just doesn't work for the entire film. I thought a lot of the jokes were absolutely hilarious, but they suffer when the jokes are done by the Minions alone. Overall this was a really disappointing film and the Minions just don't work well on their own. I give Minions a 3 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Minions, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
