So I recently watched Fifty Shades of Black and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...
Entrepreneur Christian Black (played by Marlon Wayans) pursues a young woman (played by Kali Hawk) in a spoof of "Fifty Shades of Grey."
This movie is just absolutely horrendous. At one point in time Marlon Wayans was one of the kings of spoof films when the worked on the first two Scary Movie films, but since then his career has gone down hill. Look we get that spoof movies are pretty much made to make fun of the biggest pop culture stories and films of a given time period and the humor is often forced due to the audience already knowing the punchline before it happens. Nothing in the film is funny because all of the jokes are so blatant and obvious. Nothing in the film is cleaver or the least bit interesting to keep your focus on the film. The basic story that surrounds the comedy is nothing special and it's just a much more worse version of Fifty Shades of Grey. The performances in the film are just so stupid and ridiculous that it's unbearable to watch. Overall this film is just amazingly stupid, horrendous and unwatchable it's amazing that this film is worse than Fifty Shades of Grey and it shows that even when you have relatively simple material to deal with, you have to take the time and effort to make a decent film. I give Fifty Shades of Black a 0 out of 10.
