Production continues on 20th Century Fox’s summer 2016 mutant ensemble, X-Men: Apocalypse, and director Bryan Singer has taken to Instagram to reveal an event that has been long in the making since James McAvoy was cast as Charles Xavier in X-Men: First Class: the character’s traditional bald head and you can check it out below. McAvoy leads a cast for the film that also includes Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult along with the return of Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Lucas Till as Havok and newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Lana Condor as Jubilee G, and Olivia Munn as Psylocke. Oscar Isaac is starring as the film’s title antagonist with Simon Kinberg scripting from a treatment by Mike Dougherty, Dan Harris and Kinberg. Said to be the conclusion of a trilogy started with X-Men: First Class and continued with X-Men: Days of Future Past, the Bryan Singer directed X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27, 2016.

This picture is awesome. The most iconic feature of Professor Xavier besides his wheelchair is his bald head and Patrick Stewart did a great job already having a bald head and to be honest I think James McAvoy looks better. This is a change we've been waiting for since X-Men: First Class and it makes sense for us to finally see it. So far this new trilogy of X-Men films has been fantastic and I personally cannot wait to see X-Men: Apocalypse.
Following the Red Band trailer earlier this week, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema have now also released the Vacation poster! A reboot/sequel of the 1983 comedy classic National Lampoon’s Vacation, you can check out the film’s poster below. Following in his father’s footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Ed Helms) surprises his wife, Debbie (Christina Applegate), and their two sons with a cross-country trip back to Americas “favorite family fun park,” Walley World. Rounding out the cast are Chris Hemsworth (Thor) in the role of Stone Crandall, Rusty’s irritatingly successful brother-in-law; Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses), who plays a river rafting guide; and Skyler Gisondo (Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb) and Steele Stebbins (A Haunted House 2), who play Rusty’s sons, James and Kevin. Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold from the classic Vacation comedies. The road comedy adventure marks Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley’s directorial debut. Goldstein and Daley wrote the script, based on characters created by John Hughes. David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) and Chris Bender (We’re the Millers) are producing, with Marc S. Fischer serving as executive producer. Vacation is set to open in theaters on July 29.
I think this poster is pretty neat. First off i love the touch of Ed Helms wearing a Wally World shirt simply because that location means so much to this franchise. Plus I like the action film feel it has going for it in the poster. We know it's not an action film, but I still think it's pretty cool. I was a little skeptical about the film at first, but now I think this could be the best comedy of the year.
Earl Benjamin, CEO of C3 Entertainment, Inc. Alan Simpson, CEO of Grand Peaks Entertainment and Brian O’Shea, CEO of The Exchange announced today that The Three Stooges are returning to the big screen in a new action-comedy feature film, with Sean Hayes (Larry), Chris Diamantopoulos (Moe) and Will Sasso (Curly) all set to reprise their roles from 2012’s The Three Stooges. A “major action star” is expected to be added to the cast, it was announced. Directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly are not involved at this time, their film having grossed about $55 million worldwide on a $30 million budget. Cameron Fay has been hired to write the script. Most recently, Fay penned Brother in Laws at Paramount which has Taran Killam starring and is awaiting release. Fay also has Cosmic in development at Walden. C3 and Grand Peaks will produce with The Exchange that will also handle worldwide sales. C3, The Three Stooges brand owner, will also run the film’s licensing, merchandising and promotional programs. C3’s Earl Benjamin said, “We’re excited to be moving forward with The Exchange and Grand Peaks on the next Three Stooges movie. With Sean, Chris and Will back as our Stooges and Cameron writing, this next film will be a truly unique blend of fast paced action with the hilarious mayhem of The Three Stooges.” “The Three Stooges is an incredibly powerful brand, I am looking forward to give to the independent distributors the opportunity to participate in this commercial phenomenon,” said O’Shea from The Exchange. Pablo Velez of C3 will produce along with Alan Simpson (The Last Five Years) of Grand Peaks and Nat McCormick of The Exchange. Simpson and McCormick will provide the feature’s development financing through their Exchange Peaks Capital fund. C3’s Earl Benjamin and Robert Benjamin will executive produce along with The Exchange CEO Brian O’Shea and Jeff Bowler.
This is great news to hear. I personally liked the first Three Stooges film, but let's be honest, it didn't even come close to living up to the expectations of the famed show. One thing I'm glad to hear is that the Farrelly brothers are not coming back because they have been on a downhill slide for a pretty long time now and I think they need to just take a break and learn how to do a good comedy movie. As for The Three Stooges I think an action-comedy can be good for them and it will be a nice change of pace.
Just as she did in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, actress Freida Pinto is reportedly going to reunite with Andy Serkis for his directorial debut Jungle Book: Origins for Warner Bros. Pictures, playing one of the live-action roles, according to Deadline. Based on Rudyard Kipling’s classic story, which is also being adapted into a live-action and animated hybrid film for Disney by Jon Favreau, Pinto will join Matthew Rhys and Rohan Chand in the live-action roles, rather than joining those doing the performance capture for the animals as Serkis himself did in the “Apes” and “Lord of the Rings” movies. Jonathan Cavendish, Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Benedict Cumberbatch make up that performance capture cast. The prequel film is written by Callie Kloves with Serkis directing and co-producing with “Harry Potter” screenwriter Steve Kloves. Jungle Book: Origins is currently set for an October 6, 2017 release date.
I think this is great casting. I haven't seen her in much and from the little bit she was in Rise of the Planet of the Apes I thought she was pretty great and I guess Andy Serkis saw enough to put her in the film. There aren't very many humans in the story of The Jungle Book, but since it is apart of open-domain, can create a new human character for the film as long as it isn't someone from previous film versions of the book itself. Out of the two Jungle Book movies in the works, I'm personally looking forward to this one more simply because of the live-action/CGI mix and it's being done with motion-capture form Andy Serkis's company and has created so amazing CGI/Mo-Cap characters and this will be their real test.
Focus Features has debuted the international London Has Fallen teaser poster, which you can view below. The sequel is scheduled to open in theaters on October 2nd. Directed by Babak Najafi from a script by Creighton Rothenberger & Katrin Benedikt, Christian Gudegast, and Chad St. John, London Has Fallen stars Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell, Robert Forster, Jackie Earle Haley, Charlotte Riley, Sean O’Bryan, Alon Aboutboul, Waleed Zuaiter. The film is a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen, which earned $161 million worldwide in 2013. The visceral intensity springs from a timely premise: after the British Prime Minister passes away, his funeral becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) who rightly trusts no one. Morgan Freeman also stars as the Vice President of the United States.
I really like this poster. It does it's job by teasing us with one of the many landmarks in London that will be destroyed. I expect we'll see more when the trailer drops sometime this week (maybe tomorrow) and I;m curios as to how the story will go. I really enjoyed the first film and I actually prefer it over the other White House destruction movie White House Down.
