Hello ladies and gentlemen, here is some movie news with some of my thoughts and opinions (which will be in BOLD print). So without further ado...

Marvel Studios has commenced principal photography at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on Captain America: Civil War, the third installment of its Super Hero franchise. The production will shoot on location in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves as the base for the film’s production, as well as locations in Germany, Puerto Rico and Iceland. Set for release in the United States on May 6, 2016, Captain America: Civil War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, “Community”) from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (Captain America: The Winter Solider, Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger). The film returns Chris Evans as the iconic Super Hero character Steve Rogers/Captain America along with Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch. After his debut in Marvel’s Ant-Man on July 17, 2015, Paul Rudd will make his first appearance alongside the Avengers as Scott Lang/Ant-Man in Captain America: Civil War.
The cast of the film also includes Chadwick Boseman (42, Get on Up) as T’Challa/Black Panther, Emily VanCamp (“Revenge”) as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds, Bourne Ultimatum) as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones, William Hurt (Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk) as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey). Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War is produced by Marvel Studios’ president, Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Nate Moore and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo’s creative team also includes director of photography Trent Opaloch (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Elysium), production designer Owen Paterson (Godzilla, The Matrix), and three time Oscar-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone).
There is nothing really surprising about this news. All this did was confirm who is and isn't in the film. Now a lot of people have been asking where is Spider-Man in all of this. My answer to that question is either he has't been cast yet or he won't be apart of the film, but I'll with the former over the latter. From what I hear form the people over at Latino Review (you should defiantly check them out), they say that by Memorial Day weekend we will know who the new Spidey is and that it will also confirm he is in Captain America: Civil War.
The Griswolds are back on the road as Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema have revealed the Vacation Red Band trailer. A reboot/sequel of the 1983 comedy classic National Lampoon’s Vacation, you can check out the raunchy, R-rated antics below! Following in his father’s footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Ed Helms) surprises his wife, Debbie (Christina Applegate), and their two sons with a cross-country trip back to Americas “favorite family fun park,” Walley World. Rounding out the cast are Chris Hemsworth (Thor) in the role of Stone Crandall, Rusty’s irritatingly successful brother-in-law; Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses), who plays a river rafting guide; and Skyler Gisondo (Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb) and Steele Stebbins (A Haunted House 2), who play Rusty’s sons, James and Kevin. Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold from the classic Vacation comedies. The road comedy adventure marks Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley’s directorial debut. Goldstein and Daley wrote the script, based on characters created by John Hughes. David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) and Chris Bender (We’re the Millers) are producing, with Marc S. Fischer serving as executive producer. Vacation is set to open in theaters on July 29.
This was a really nice and pretty funny trailer. I was really worried about this film simply because I really enjoy all of the Vacation movies, but this trailer has somewhat changed my mind. I didn't laugh at every joke in the trailer, but there were some good enough ones that make me think the film is going to be pretty good. I personally think that Chris Hemsworth is going to steal the movie and he'll be the one everybody is talking about coming out of the theater.
Entertainment Weekly has our first look at the cast of Quentin Tarantino‘s bloody new western The Hateful Eight, including Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kurt Russell rocking an awesome ‘stache and you can check out the full cover below. Tarantino told the magazine about the similarity between the snowbound frontier way station locale of his new film mirroring the confined, play-like setting of his debut movie Reservoir Dogs. “For me it has more of a western ‘Iceman Cometh’ kind of vibe about it,” says Tarantino. “A bunch of guys in a room who can’t trust each other. That wasn’t a marching order when I sat down to write the script, but pretty quickly I realized this is kind of a nice coming-full-circle.” The cast also includes Walton Goggins, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern and Channing Tatum in an unidentified minor role. The Weinstein Company will distribute the film, which is expected to get an Oscar season release sometime this winter. In The Hateful Eight, set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. The passengers, bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as “The Hangman,” will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren (Jackson), a black former union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Goggins), a southern renegade who claims to be the town’s new Sheriff. Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. When they arrive at Minnie’s, they are greeted not by the proprietor but by four unfamiliar faces. Bob (Bichir), who’s taking care of Minnie’s while she’s visiting her mother, is holed up with Oswaldo Mobray (Roth), the hangman of Red Rock, cow-puncher Joe Gage (Madsen), and Confederate General Sanford Smithers (Dern). As the storm overtakes the mountainside stopover, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all…

I really love this cover. It shows off the style of film we are going to get and it pretty much shows who the main characters of the film are. I think the film will be more of a mix between Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained and that's the case then it just puts my excitement level through the roof. Tarantino is one of my favorite directors of all-time and the cast of the film is amazing and I cannot wait to see it.
It was announced nearly six years that Legendary Pictures was keen on developing a big screen Jimi Hendrix biopic with the hopes of winning over the artist’s estate, Experience Hendrix. Although that project did not ultimately move forward, Deadline is today reporting that Legendary and Experience Hendrix have worked out a deal for a new big screen take on Hendrix’s life. What’s more, Academy Award nominee Paul Greengrass is in talks to direct. Hendrix, who tragically died in 1970 at age 27, nevertheless managed to achieve artistic immortality. He’s widely considered to be among the greatest — if not the greatest — guitarists of all time. Because of the involvement of his estate, Legendary will have access to Hendrix’s full catalogue of recordings. Greengrass most recently directed Captain Phillips and is set to next return to the Bourne franchise for a still untitled fifth film that will offer the return of Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. Look for that film to hit the big screen July 29, 2016. Scott Silver (8 Mile, The Fighter) will provide the screenplay for the still-untitled Hendrix film, which will be produced by Thomas Tull, Peter Afterman, Janie Hendrix, Jon Jashni and John McDermott. Josh Bratman and Jillian Share will serve as executive producers.
This is a great choice. Greengrass is one of the best directors working in the business and while he doesn't do very many films, he knows how to knock the one he does do out of the park. There was another Jimi Hendrix movie that came out last year staring Andre 3000 and it was just terrible simply because they didn't have the rights to Hendrix's music so they weren't able to play Jimi Hendrix songs in a Jimi Hendrix movie. I'm glad to see that that rights have been bought and we can finally see the film that we were supposed to see.
As previously reported, Marvel Studios has officially confirmed that Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will write the upcoming two-part Avengers: Infinity War. “Chris and Steve have been an integral part of the Marvel family since the early days of Phase 1, and their work speaks for itself,” said Producer Kevin Feige. “We couldn’t be more excited to have them with us to help guide the Avengers through their biggest story yet.” This news also comes after this morning’s reveal that “Infinity War” will be filmed entirely with IMAX cameras, the first Hollywood feature film to do so. “It’s Thanos against everyone,” star Josh Brolin told us about the “Phase Three” capper late last year, which is believed to involve the Mad Titan’s quest to bring together the six Infinity Stones we’ve seen appear throughout the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn also chimed in previously on the idea of the Guardians meeting the Avengers saying: “When I’m asked about the Guardians and their future, and whether they’ll meet up with the Avengers I really don’t have all that much to say, because some of it isn’t decided yet, and I don’t want to give away what is decided.” Prior to “Infinity War,” Markus and McFeely will pen Captain America: Civil War, which is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia with the film targeting a May 6, 2016 release. The pair have also been responsible for Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Thor: The Dark World, and “Marvel’s Agent Carter.” Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 is slated for release in IMAX theaters on May 4, 2018; Part 2 will open on May 3, 2019.
This is a really great choice. These guys know the MCU like the back of their hand so it's quite appropriate that they get the honor of writing both Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2. I think that they are the right people for the job and I can't wait to see what they bring to the big screen.
