So without further ado let the show begin...

Overall that was a really long show that dragged on for way too long. Neil Patrick Harris had some good moments, but overall he was very disappointing.

I want to thank you all for following along tonight and please continue to support The Local Movieblog. Have a great night.

12:09
Neil Patrick Harris looked so relieved that the show is over. He knows how bad it was.

Michael Strahan is one of my favorite athletes, but he is so out of place.

8:25
If this was only true.

8:21
If this was a different year this film would win hands down.

8:20
10 minutes til showtime. The anticipation is killing me,

8:15
Look Bradley Cooper was great in American sniper but he honestly took a spot from Jake Gyllenhaal/David Oyelowo.

8:13
Just a little throwback for everyone.

8:09
No matter what you think of Chris Kyle or American Sniper you just have to feel really bad for his wife and her being brave enough to come to The Oscars in support of her husband

8:03
Emma stone is just too funny and she was fantastic in Birdman. Definitely check it out if you haven't seen it

8:00
30 minutes til showtime

7:59
I just want to say watching this red carpet stuff since 5 and I've never been this bored but kudos to ABC for filling the two hours with some pretty decent stuff when nobody was there.

7:57
Welcome to the live blog for the 87th Academy Awards. Sorry this is late but I was having technical difficulties, but everything should be good now.
