The Top 10 Film Franchise Crossovers I want to see

With Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice being released this weekend, it got me thinking of what other film franchises should cross over to make a film. With that being said I want to bring you The Top 10 Film Franchise Crossovers I want to see. I'll list the two franchises I want to see crossover and why it would work as a crossover film. So without further ado...

10. James Bond/Jason Bourne

These are two of the most awesome spies to ever come across the big screen and seeing them together would be amazing. One works for MI6 and the other works for The CIA which are two of the best secret organizations in the world and it would be interesting to see their top 2 agents go at it. Both have unique fighting styles which would make for some awesome fights and some great detective work with one hunting down the other.

9. Alien/Avatar

These two franchises mesh well together and have a few similarities. One is the fact they are both owned by 20th Century Fox and James Cameron has directed a film in each franchise. They both come from two very different planets and the creatures that inhabit Pandora in Avatar would be a formidable foe against the Xenomorph's. The are both races that are willing to fight and that would be a sight to see.

8. Die Hard/Lethal Weapon

This would be some great late 80's/early 90's nostalgia to a lot of people. John McClain is a New York cop while Riggs and Murtaugh are LA cops so you have the east coast/west coast rivalry between the two. They both deal with the same type of people and all of their films (besides 1) has been rated R so they have violent sides to them. You'll also get Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson and Danny Glover on screen together and their banter would be absolutely hilarious.

7. Ghostbusters/Men In Black

This would be a much better crossover than Men In Black and 22 Jump Street. These are two franchise that are both owned by Sony which makes this an easy transition and easier to approve. They both also fight Ghosts and Aliens so they could have a common enemy. Both groups have comedic elements which would work well together. It just makes a lot more sense to have these two groups working together to save the planet and it makes it even better that they both work out of New York City.

6. Shrek/How to Train Your Dragon

It's not often you see two animated franchises that can mesh well together like these two. They are both owned by DreamWorks so it makes it easier to get this film approved. They also both deal with dragons (one more than the other). You could make a film where Dragon is wanting to find her family and Shrek and the gang travel with her to find them and they come across the viking village and combing both universes.

5. Pacific Rim/Godzilla

Now this is a crossover I want to see. The Jaeger's already fight the Kaiju which have a similar build as Godzilla so it's already something they deal with. The Jaeger's also already fight for the world and they would be a great opponent to stop to Godzilla if he were to attack or to possibly help him if he went up against Mothra, Ghidorah or Gamera. I think you play it off as something like Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice where they fight each other, then team up and I think it could work very well. It also helps that Legendary Picture owns the rights to both franchises so the film could work on that level.

4. Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael

This would be a film that would please a lot of horror fans. We've already seen Freddy and Jason take each other on in Freddy vs. Jason and that was a pretty decent film. Add Michael Myers to that and this would be a film for the ages. All three of these characters are the most iconic horror villains of all-time and there are a lot of different directions the film can go in. Some people have begged for Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, but I think this is the real moneymaker.

3. X-Men/Fantastic Four

This is a crossover that makes so much sense, yet the studio doesn't want to go through with it.It's rare to see two comic book franchises owned by the same company that never mention each other. They fit so well, but no one at the studio doesn't think so and after the last Fantastic Four film,  think it's painfully obvious that that franchise needs a burst of energy and it can happen if these two crossover. It would be a great film with one franchise helping another.

2. Transformers/G.I. Joe

This would be an action packed crossover film. One group is a bunch of robots from another planet who are trying to save the world from evil robots from the same planet they are from. The other is a franchise that deals with military operations and that's already playing a big part of the Transformers franchise mainly due to Michael Bay. It could basically be another Transformers film, but instead of the United States military, it would be the G.I. Joes.

1. Mission Impossible/James Bond

Just like James Bond and Jason Bourne, this film would be fun and action-packed. Both of course work for various agencies and there could be a plot where they are both after the same villain and they both use their skills to track down the villain. Plus if you want to, you could add a scene where they fight each other and while it would be fun to see, it might be too much. Both are owned by two different studios, but it makes sense for these franchises to crossover mainly due to their easy accessibility to meet each other.

So ladies and gentlemen what are some film franchises you want to see crossover and what do you think of my list? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
