So I recently watched Green Room and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...
Pat (played by Anton Yelchin) and Sam (played by Alia Shawkat)are members of a punk-rock band and are joined by a tough young woman (played by Imogen Poots) as they battle murderous white supremacists at a remote Oregon roadhouse.
This is a really intense and grueling film to get through. It has a relatively simple plot, but you are led on so many twists and turns that you honestly can't predict what happens next. Those twists and turns pay omage to older horror films and how they built the suspense without using cheap scares. The fact that this film can scare you without zombies, vampires or people in hockey masks makes this a truly remarkable film. One of the best parts of the film is the performances and both Anton Yelchin and Alia Shawkat are phenomenal, but the real standout is Patrick Stewart who completely steps out of his comfort zone and takes on a much more serious role then he's ever been in and his performance is just on a whole other level above everyone else. Everything in the film is set-up beautifully and it's built with a lot of great material that we way as an audience are caring and captivated by what is going on. There are a few moments where the story starts to go off track, but it quickly regains control to keep you on your toes. Overall this is a frantic fast-paced film that will blow mind once you reach the final conclusion. I give Green Room a 9 out of 10.
So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Green Room, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
