1. Despite overwhelmingly positive reviews, Blade Runner 2049 had a pretty disappointing opening weekend and no it looks as if it might not make back it's budget of $200 Million.
2. Overall this was a completely disappointing weekend for new releases and it might be one of the poorer first weekends in October that we've seen in a while.
3. It (2017) continues to stay strong in the top 5 for the 5th consecutive weekend and it could end with a double digit weekend run in the top 10.
4. The biggest loser of the weekend was Kingsman: The Golden Circle as it made 48.8% less than it did last weekend and the biggest winner of the weekend was Victoria and Abdul as it made 282% more than it did last weekend.
5. I went 2 for 5 on my predictions.
Predictions
1. The Foreigner $23 Million
2. Blade Runner: 2049 $15 Million
2. Blade Runner: 2049 $15 Million
3. Happy Death Day $12 Million
4. It (2017) $7 Million
5. The Mountain Between Us $5 Million
So ladies and gentlemen what do you think of this weekend's box office totals and what are some of your takeaways? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
