So I recently watched Snatched and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado........
Dumped by her boyfriend on the eve of their vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (played by Amy Schumer) persuades her cautious mother, Linda (played by Goldie Hawn), to accompany her on an exotic getaway to South America. Polar opposites, Emily and Linda must soon work through their differences to escape from a wildly outrageous and dangerous jungle adventure.
If you've ever wanted to see Amy Schumer fail miserably then you need to see this film. Look some people like Amy Schumer for what she stands for and that's great, but at her core she is a comedian and she is the worst one at that and her lack of humor shows in this film. Not only is she not funny, nobody else in the film is funny either and it's all of the same jokes we have seen from a lot of other films almost like stealing jokes (like Amy Schumer is accused of doing) Goldie Hawn looks absolutely lost in the film and she was only cast in the film because she looks like she could be Schumer's mother. If you are looking for an action/comedy that you want to take your mother to, then look elsewhere because this just may dampen your time with your mother. As for the story, it's almost non-existent an when you can finally focus on the plot without having to hear Amy Schumer speak, then it can become a little interesting, but mostly ridiculous A nice little tidbit is that this is Goldie Hawn's first film since 2002 and she honestly should've stayed away or at least picked a different film. Overall this is a film that could've been a nice time at the movies and there are some great laughs with a halfway decent plot, but every time Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn are on screen together or by themselves makes every scene worse and this proves that Amy Schumer is just a one hit wonder when it comes to her films. I give Snatched a 1 out of 10.
So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Snatched, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
